DIY hair oil for Hair Growth and Strength

Miracle Oil For Hair

Most of the people I meet these days complain of hair fall. It could be due to humid weather, some deficiency or even due to some conditions like alopecia, dandruff etc. Though at times, visiting a doctor may be necessary to find the reason of your hair fall, but for me, some natural home remedies work wonders too.

There are some hair oils, which improve the hair growth, deal with hair fall, and also improve your hair quality. I don’t do much for my hair except using a Miracle Oil (as I call it). My miracle oil is a blend of three amazing oils that are very good for your hair and scalp. You will be really amazed at how after using this oil consistently for a few months, your hair volume, texture, shine and overall quality improves. And what’s more? This oil of mine is also really great for kids.

Recipe of my Miracle Oil

So here’s how you can make my Miracle Oil.

I use equal parts of each type of oil, but depending on what type of hair you have, you might want to use larger or smaller quantities to any oil. So decide for yourself as per your need.

  1. Almond oil
  2. Coconut oil
  3. Castor oil

Mix all of these oils together.  If you want to store it, you can make a large quantity of it that lasts you at least a month. When you want to use it, take some quantity in a bowl and heat it a little before massaging it gently in your scalp. Leave it for 30 minutes minimum to get it absorbed and then shampoo. If you want you can keep it overnight as well. I don’t keep overnight because i have oily scalp. I usually keep it for 2-3 hours.

The benefits, which the three oils in my Miracle Oil offer:

Coconut oil

Coconut oil penetrates your hair much more than any other oils. It’s known to make your hair healthy, lustrous and soft. It is a natural conditioner that is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E and hence repairs the damaged hair.

Parachute Coconut Oil

Parachute Coconut Oil

Using this oil stimulates hair growth and also takes care of the dryness. Thus, usage of coconut oil makes hair softer and reduces hair breakage and split ends.

 Almond oil

Almond oil helps to make your hair smoother and gives it that soft, dream-like texture. It also reduces breakage and split ends considerably. Almond oil is known to make hair much stronger and also promotes hair growth. It is loaded with high quantity of vitamin E, thus making your hair look healthier and shinier.

Roghan Badam Shirin

Castor oil

This oil is known for hair growth. It has properties, which enhances cellular action in your scalp. Being rich in vitamin E, minerals and proteins, it can work wonders for your hair. The only con is that being a very thick oil, it’s not easy to wash it off. Castor oil also has anti-microbial properties and contains ricinoleic acid. All this treats problems like dandruff and any infections or inflammations of the scalp. Using this oil regularly guarantees you healthy, shiny and thick hair. Use any Castor oil available in you local market.

I do permanent hair color at least 2-3 times a year. I use blow dryer and ceramic straightener brush almost every day. Why i am telling this, because using this miracle oil, it keeps my hair protected from any heat treatment on regular basis. My hair still stay shinny and strong. No split ends, no rough hair, no hair fall, no dandruff. What else you want for your hair. That’s why i called this a Miracle Oil for my hair.

Want attractive tresses? Then what are you waiting for? Try my Miracle Oil and flaunt beautiful hair.

My Coconut Cream Hair Mask

Coconut Cream Hair Mask DIY

I have frizzy hair, which become more dry and unmanageable especially in monsoons. I rely a lot on homemade remedies, which are simple and help my hair become more manageable.

My favorite is the coconut cream hair mask I make to tame or smoothen the hair and remove the frizz. Believe me, I don’t go by big brands blindly when it comes to hair care; rather, you can find me always trying my hand at some new DIY remedy. Do you know why? One, homemade masks and remedies are completely natural; two, they don’t cost much and lastly, it works wonders on my hair.

This hair mask works so well on heat treated hair. If you do many heat treatments like me, i mean if you use straighter, hair dryer and other heat equipment for your hair, then this hair mask is for you. This is so right for my hair. I just love coconut cream hair mask DIY.

My coconut cream hair mask is not only good for moisturizing my tresses but also drastically makes my hair soft and healthy. My scalp is little oily, so I avoid using it on my scalp. So let’s see the how I make my mask.

Coconut Cream Hair Mask

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 bowl fresh and coarsely grated coconut pulp or cream
  • 1/2 bowl fresh coconut milk (some times i avoid coconut milk.)
  • 2 teaspoon sweet almond oil (if available, you can avoid this if its not available. I rarely use this.)

Please note that fresh coconut would give you much better results, so try and get a fresh one.

Directions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Make sure that all of the things have blended well together.
  2. Take the mix in your palms and apply generously to damp hair.
  3. Cover your head with a shower cap and leave it on for at least half an hour.
  4. Rinse with warm water.

Benefits:

Applying this mask on the scalp can boost hair growth but applying it just on the hair will condition it deeply. Both coconut milk and cream are super foods for your hair and also tame the frizz. The mask hydrates your hair well and also cures the dry and damaged hair. The added advantage is gained by ingredients like almond oil, which make your hair soft and shiny.

Another benefit of this mask unlike many other recipes is that it doesn’t smell bad. In fact, I like how my hair smells after I wash it. This makes gives you a great luster and moisture to your hair.

Because of the high content of the saturated fats, coconut is a great emulsifier, which can cure your damaged hair and bring back its gorgeousness. Did you know that Indonesian girls use coconut milk for washing their hair because of its natural deep conditioning qualities?

After applying this mask on my hair my hair feels so smooth, silky and straight as well. I love using this hair mask a lot.

So try out my coconut cream hair mask soon and get beautiful, silky hair.

Most of the times i like using only cream on my hair. I avoid mixing it with coconut milk and almond oil. But sometimes i like using coconut milk and almond oil when i feel my scalp are bit dry and my hair are bit rough after so many heat treatments.

P.S. Applying this mask on your hair is little bit messy but you will get really good results. That’s the reason i did not share my picture with you guys, because when ever i apply this mask i am all over covered with cream mask. Its all over on my face, my dress, actually on everything. 😉

How beneficial are Flax seeds for our skin?

Benefits of Flax Seeds

Did you know that Flaxseeds derive their name from a Latin word?  It literally translates to “very useful,” and no doubts, these seeds are very beneficial for our overall health and well-being. These seeds are being used from about 6,000 years ago and are one of the oldest known superfoods. So why does it get a ‘superfood’ status? They are loaded with anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants called lignans, which take care of our hormonal balance along with many other health benefits.

Other advantages of eating these super seeds are better digestion, glowing skin, improved cardiovascular health, lower cholesterol and better hormone balance. They are also said to fight cancer and other deadly ailments.

Flaxseeds are included in my daily diet. Sometimes I take 2 spoons full of roasted flaxseeds. Sometimes I make flaxseeds powder or chutney mixed with garlic and mix that powder in my food or sprinkle over my salad as well. I will share my flaxseeds chutney or powder recipe in my next article.

Flaxseeds are known as Jawas in Marathi, Alsi in Punjabi and Gujarati and it has many other names in all Indian languages.

So what are these Flaxseeds?

Flaxseeds or linseeds look tiny and are brownish or tan in colour. Loaded with dietary fiber, many minerals such as thiamine, magnesium, manganese and a plant-based protein, Flaxseeds are very rich in omega-3 fatty acids, known as alpha-linolenic acid (or ALA). They are also the richest source of lignans, which is about seven times more than what is found in sesame seeds.

Other benefits of these super seeds include:
• A rich source of Antioxidants and Minerals
• Improve digestion
• Fight cancer and reduces chances of breast and ovarian cancer
• Enhance brain health
• Improve your immune system
• Help in weight loss
• Fight diabetes
• Helps to improve your skin and hair
• Lowers cholesterol
• Reduces inflammation or hot flashes
• Provides healing to your skin and gives moisture
• Heal your blocked arteries

Why using Ground Flaxseeds is better?

Most wellness and health experts recommend using ground flaxseeds rather than the whole ones. Wondering why? The whole flaxseeds would pass through your intestine undigested. This would not allow you to get all the benefits from these super seeds. Grinding them into a powder or paste will let all the nutrients get absorbed into the body. Just use your mixer or blender to grind the seeds finely at home.

But remember that ground flaxseeds will lose their nutritive value if they are exposed to air or sunlight. Hence, store the ground flaxseeds either in a dark and cool place or in the refrigerator to enhance its shelf life. If you are thinking of using the flaxseed oil, you must know that it does not have enough fiber as is available in the seeds form.

Now comes to my experience with this product. I have first time tried a mask for my hair. When i visited my parlour last week, i had done hair spa there and the therapist suggests me this mask. He told me that you have bit frizzy hair not much and also you have very thin hair that is also not good. Otherwise i have very good density of hair but because of oiliness i have to wash my hair frequently. I was very busy in last 3 months, lots of things came back to back, so i didn’t get time to pamper my hair, no hair spa no oiling bla bla bla… J . b’coz of that my hair become bit thin and frizzy too. Even i was also worried about that. I bought this Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. This product comes in a very nice neon green and olive green colour tub with floral print on it.

How to apply Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque:

Firstly, I washed my hair with my hair shampoo that I will going to review in my next article. After that on my wet hair i applied Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque. This is non greasy and very thick paste. That you have to take very little amount in your fingers and apply it all over your hair from scalp to throughout. While i was applying this in my hair i already felt that smoothness and non greasy feeling my hair.  You don’t need to use conditioner if you are using this hair masque.  Leave it in my hair for 20 mins. If your hair is in too bad condition then you can leave it for 40-45 mins. After 20 mins i wash out the masque from my hair and towel dry them. I wait my hair to be dry completely but naturally not with dryer. Once my hair was completely dry, i was surprised to see the results of this product. It has very mild fragrance and i love that. I actually don’t like strong fragrances. So its good for me.

This product is amazing i must say. My hair becomes very soft, silky and smooth. I even didn’t use comb after that, my hair was already set and its like i blow-dry my hair. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque deep is conditioner for hair.

I’m so glad i found this masque. I’m really happy after using this. It’s really a good product and must buy. I will surely recommend this. I think everyone should try this once. After 3-4 wash i feel my hair more healthy, silky, shinny and smoother.

Price wise it’s very expensive but it’s worth it for me. I didn’t get smaller pack in this, i wish they had a smaller pack. According to me there should be a scoop or something to use the product, because i feel it’s not hygienic to use your fingers every time.
